Carl Paskin – A Man Repossessed
Carl Paskin
Brummie Carl Paskin was cryogenically frozen in 1978 alongside his favourite joke book, in a shrewd attempt to evade his creditors. Waking 48 years later his original debt of 42 pounds, 5 shillings and sixpence is now less than the cost of one of his tasteless retro shirts, and he hopes to pay it off with any donations received from this show at the Rik Mayall Comedy Festival.
Carl delivers deadpan one liners, environmentally friendly gags (recycled), and self-deprecating dry Midlands humour in the refreshingly nauseating traditional style you would expect from such a mature comedian.
Influences: Mick Miller, Bob Monkhouse, Jasper Carrott, Ian Sludge Lees (RIP) and Stan Boardman.
A sit-back and have a (beer) belly-laugh type act.
