Family fun and street party!
Droitwich Spa is set for a huge day of free entertainment on Saturday 30 May as the Rik Mayall Comedy Festival officially launches its 2026 programme with a town centre street party packed with live music, comedy, family entertainment and activities throughout the day.
Running from 11am to 9pm across the High Street and St Andrews Square Shopping Centre, the free launch event brings together performers, community groups, local businesses and festival partners to kick off this year’s festival in style.
Hosted by comedian and speaker Dave James, the day begins with the official opening from the Chairman of Wychavon District Council and the Mayor of Droitwich Spa, alongside a special performance from Mitch Benn.
The line-up across the day includes Droitwich Spa Community Choir, Droitwich Ukulele Club, Salties, CircusMash, Coppice Shanty Crew, Benny Jay, Molly Tustin, BBC Hereford and Worcester Upload, live evening music and a family-friendly show from Kane & Abel Magicians.
Visitors can also enjoy craft stalls, games, walkabout performers and plenty of food and drink in the town centre throughout the day.
Inside St Andrews Square Shopping Centre, Festival Joke Spot Live will give children and young people the chance to step up to the mic and share their favourite jokes with the crowd.
The event has been organised by the Rik Mayall Comedy Festival team and Droitwich Friends and Businesses CIC, with support from headline sponsors, Production Support Services Ltd and a wide range of local partners helping bring the day together.
Everything is free to attend and there’s no booking required.
