The Rik Mayall Comedy Festival is returning for nine incredible days of comedy in Droitwich Spa, celebrating the iconic comedian right where he grew up. The Festival will feature a brilliant mix of famous names and the best emerging talent.
The Festival runs on a hybrid approach: we host professionally produced headline events at the historic Norbury Theatre, backed up by a massive, community-run fringe across the town. The 2026 line-up promises to be outstanding. Every penny of profit goes straight back into growing the Festival, funding local youth arts, and benefiting the Norbury Theatre.
The 2026 Festival runs from Friday, May 29th to Saturday, June 6th, 2026.

2025: A Major Success
The 2025 Festival was a phenomenal success, immediately establishing the Rik Mayall Comedy Festival as a major UK attraction. We drew thousands of visitors to Droitwich Spa and featured more than 200 events across 30+ Droitwich venues.
The talent was top-tier, featuring celebrated names like Greg Davies, Shaparak Khorsandi, and Rik’s long-time collaborator Peter Richardson. Every single headline event at the historic Norbury Theatre sold out. We’re building on that reputation to produce another stellar line-up for 2026.
National Profile & Reach
The Festival delivered massive national exposure, significantly raising the profile of Droitwich Spa across the country. We secured major media coverage, including multiple appearances on local and national news, notably three features on BBC Breakfast, alongside major newspaper coverage in The Telegraph and The Independent.
This national profile translated into significant local economic activity, with businesses seeing increased footfall and record-breaking takings from visitors who travelled from across the UK and internationally. The Festival recorded higher social media engagement rates than most established UK comedy festivals., including the Edinburgh Fringe, and our presence is only growing. The festival was also officially recognised as a Finalist for Best Festival & Event at the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards 2026.
